Artmaking, praying, and healing all come from the same source:  the human soul, the non-physical divine part of a person that allows for a connection with or may be considered as synonymous with the Divine.  Research has shown that all three of these activities have the same physiology, the same brain wave patterns, and the same states of consciousness.  Being creative is as simple as experiencing through your senses, the beauty, mystery, and artistic quality of your life.  Daune will be sharing her story about her trauma-informed soul’s path that ultimately led her to opening a studio, offering creative expression experiences for well-being, which includes self-healing, community engagement, and her encounters with the Divine.

BIO:

Since 2007, Daune has facilitated numerous art and healing programs, working with groups and individuals from all walks of life, from corporate executives to people struggling below the poverty line, and the full range of age groups from school children to senior citizens.

With a degree in Journalism/Public Relations and certifications as both a Restorative Arts Facilitator and Grief Support Specialist, Daune has spent most of her career in corporate roles, having held leadership positions in administration, finance, and human resources over the past 40+ years, mostly in commercial landscaping and related industries. Her professional life has been supplemented with sharing her soul’s passion for art and transformation with community organizations. Last fall, she was presented with the opportunity to open an art studio in a learning and wellness center. She knew that it was a gift from the Divine, so she took a Leap of Faith and transitioned out of the regular corporate world embrace this endeavor. The one word of commonality that connects these two career paths, and the essence of Daune as a whole, is being a Possibility Model for the “Reconciler”.

She identifies as an artist and peacemaker, and to those she dares to share it with, as a humble mystic and a member of the blue ray soul group.
