A cacao ceremony is a sacred gathering where participants consume cacao, a plant based extract from the cacao tree, in order to open their hearts and set intentions. We will set intentions with the assistance of Mother Cacao plus open our hearts to increase our vitality. We will meditate, reflect and share intentions.

The origins of cacao ceremonies can be traced back to the ancient Maya & Aztec civilizations and the rituals of ancient shamans. The practice has been reintroduced in modern society as a way to  connect with oneself and the environment

* Bring your journal or something to write in.
** Yoga mat, blanket, cushions or anything else you may need to be comfortable.
*** Hapé will also be available for an additional charge.
**** Snacks, tea and hot chocolate will be available.
**** Feel free to bring an instrument if you would like. There will be drums, rattles and other various sound healing tools for use during the ceremony.

TIPS FOR PREPARING FOR A CACAO CEREMONY INCLUDE – Avoiding alcohol and caffeine for at least 6 hours before and after the ceremony.

Cacao ceremonies can have many benefits including, emotional release, improved mood and energy (cacao contains theobromine, a natural stimulant), enhanced creativity,/inspiration, increased focus, self acceptance, deeper connection, community support and spiritual awareness. 

Cacao is also high in magnesium, which is important for muscular health, relaxation, and sleep regulation. It is also the best plant based source of iron, which promotes proper blood oxygenation and cell health.
